New Guy/First post Header Question
Hey all. Got my 92 Heritage RS last year. I'm in the middle of doing a head gasket replacement on it, and decided I would throw a set of headers on while I'm at it. I ordered a pair of Hooker 2460s and was wondering about the AIR system. I'm of the understanding that as long as I leave my EGR hooked up and plugged in, I shouldn't throw a CEL. Does this sound right?
Also, assuming I can break the exhaust bolts loose, will they bolt up to my stock Y pipe or will I need to order another one? I'm not to that point yet, but I'm hoping to have the car mostly done in a few days as my schedule allows. If it doesn't fit, what are my options?

Have to get another Y-pipe. Get a Dougs D901 Y-Pipe, much cheaper than the Hooker Y-pipe and exactly the same. Mine matched up like a glove.

I kinda figured.... thanks! As far as the cat, what's best? Replace or delete? Emissions inspections aren't an issue for me.

If you are getting rid of the AIR system (won't throw a code, leave EGR alone), you can get a run of the mill non AIR cat. I always prefer running a cat. Less smelly, evens the exhaust tone down.
