I'm after some shorty spark plug part numbers for headers, in my case 1-5/8" primaries on a sbc. I'm after shorty plugs with .750" reach, gasket, 14mm threads I'm using E3.48 now but they're too long and I can't find a E3.48 cross reference to a shorty header spark plug.

And it seems like Accel is the only one who itemizes their spark plugs with shorty in the name or description.

I found two Accel Shorty plugs that look like they'll fit as far as reach, gasket, threads go:
. Accel 0414S
. Accel 0416S

besides not knowing the actual length of these plugs to compare to the E3.48 ... I can't find a heat range chart for the E3.48 either to see how it compares to the two accel shorty header spark plugs i have been able to find so far.

To make matters worse the interwebs seem to hate Accel Shorty Header Spark Plugs and reccomend NGK but those spark plugs are different, reach, thread etc., than the E3.48.

So it'd be awesome if someone here has some shorty spark plug experience with headers on a sbc and knows some part numbers, dimensions and who makes the shortest spark plug, heat range cross walk, other applicable info.

I run Delco R45-TS with Hooker shorty headers without any issue. I ran the Accel shorty plugs for a while too and didn't end up needing the extra clearance.

 

I've been using the Accel plugs forever with no problems.
