Queston on Factory Replacement Headers

My friend has a pair of factory replacement headers that are coming off of his 89 Camaro that he's looking to give me for a real steal ($50). I haven't had a chance to look at them yet but they have all the connections for emissions, and nothing needed to be done to put them in the camaro. I'm wondering are these worth it over the stock manifolds that i have? and will they fit my 88 formula? Also, what would be a good y-pipe to go along with that, either with my 305 now, or a 350 when i upgrade this spring. THanks

PJ

I don't know, i thought i was missing something too, but they're headers alright, not manifolds.

You mean aftermarket headers that replace factory manifolds? If so does your friend know what brand they are?Knowing this will help you figure out what to do about a y pipe.

I didn't think headers would bolt to a stock y-pipe.

Not to call you a liar, but I've never heard of our cars coming stock with headers. I know certain years of Mustangs did, still not flowing as well as aftermarket headers though.
