NEED HEADERS (Recommendations)

I just picked up an 87 T/A, this thing is so mint I had to have it. I just bought a 2000 chevy silverado w 5.3L but, I figured the T/A will be just a weekend car. Anyways this car is in awesome shape the only draw back I guess would be that it has the smaller 305 block rather than the 350 but it still has some good throttle response. The other draw back would be the paint looks good from only 10' away or more (you get my point) but in due time I will throw some new paint on. The interior looks like the day it came out of the factory. I was wondering if anyone out there can maybe recommend a good pair of headers to throw on. I have done some research and saw that there is really not to much to choose for the 5.0L most everything is for the 5.7L. Any feedback would be nice.

Thanks

Well, any header that fits the 350 will fit the 305
But, if you do not plan on getting a 350 eventually, you may want to get somewhat smaller primaries as this will increase exhaust gas velocity and there for aid in low rpm torque. Just my $0.02

Welcome aboard,

Anything that fits a 305 will bolt to a 350.
SLP makes the best headers but you pay for it. If you want to squeeze every last bit of HP out of your 305 get the SLP or if you plan on future serious HP. But if you want to free up some HP on a budget Edelbrock TES or Hooker Headers are decent. Hooker more so.
Good Luck.

I would say SLP or MAC, both are very nice. I just ordered the SLP because I wanted the 1 3/4 without A.I.R.. No need to worry about low end power, the TPI makes too much of that already.
Hopes this helps.
