Exhaust setup:
Hey all third-gen owners:
I have been doing alot of research, both on this site and other sites about exhaust. I plan to upgrade my stock exhaust with sthg. alittle more suited for racing. I own a 1992 RS 305 Carb camaro. Ive read that slp headers are the best and borla cat backs are very nice too. Im looking for good hp bonus and excellent sound. I was interested in flowmaster but I heard it was alittle to much like a honda civic with a supercharger sound (deffiently not!). Now, one last thing is "what kind of cat should I get?" Please respond with ideas, recommendations, and comments to my idea. Thanx guys

P.S. Cash is not a problem, Im your typical 18 year old with too much cash and not enough bills so I pump all my dough into the car.

well i have slp headers hollowed out cat and flowmaster cat make and it sounds no where near 4 banger. it is very loud and turns a lot of heads, and i dont like it.
get slp headers random technology cat and cat back of your choice. different mufflers will give you different sounds and better performance.

I have the Random Technology catback, SLP 1 5/8" coated headers, and CarSound Cat. I went with the CarSound Cat because it out performs the RT cat and it is less than half the price. Check out the dyno numbers on this site.
