i have to get my car inspected but i know i am gonna fail emisions cause i have a gutted cat. also i heard having an open element with make u fail? anyways wut can i do is there anyway to pass without changein the cat like stick a sock in the pipe lol i am desprete please help

I can't think of a way to pass NJ treadmill emissions without a working cat. You might try adding ethanol (STP Gas Treatment) to your gas to lean things down, but then you're at risk of failing NOx emissions.

Go get a decent cat, they don't steal more than 1-5hp.

 

Put a 50 dollar bill in the tailpipe.. The, uh, ink helps it pass the sniffer.
