I'm thinking about installing an exhaust cut-out on my GTA but i was wondering whether it would cause my car to fail an emissions inspection. What if i placed it right after the cat? I live in the people's republic of california and the answer's probably no but i just want to make sure............

 

If they do a visual inspection, it most likely won't pass. If they don't look under the car, and you have it capped, it won't make a difference on your emissions, so you should be able to pass (assuming you'd pass regardless).
