Random Technology Catback

I was just wondering why I never see anyone talking about the Random Technology Catback. I just put one on my car and they are awesome. I can understand noone getting the RT cat, because they are overpriced. The catback is not too bad of a price. I got mine for $330 from thunderracing.

I had this cat back on my Z when I first installed my new motor last summer but it was LOUD.I have a healthy 355 in my car with SLP 1 3/4" headers,no cat, into the Random cat back and it was loud as sin.I didn't like the fact it only put exhaust out of the driver side tail pipe, never used the other one, still looks brand new.I sold it to a friend with a '93 Z,took some fabrication but it fit better than his stock system, still doesn't use the passenger tail pipe, but on his car it sounds great, nice rumble,he has a cat and stock manifolds, not to loud.I get enough attention from the police for the looks of my car and the other noises it makes, this exhaust just guaranteed I was getting pulled over.

I got pulled over OFTEN,many times for exhaust, most of the time for some lame excuse. The car draws a lot of attention,"looks good, sounds fast..so he must be out to cause trouble" is all I can assume goes thru their head (police) when they see me coming.I did a lot of street racing in the past and my car has quite the reputation with the local law, impounded many times. That time (right before I took it off and sold it) I got yanked for the exhaust he told me he heard me long before I came into sight.I lived about a quarter mile from local corner store and family told me on several occasions they could tell when I fired it back up and left after getting gas.Car was really LOUD,I like it a bit more muffled to draw less attention.

yea i wish it breathed a little bit better though the passenger side pipe but if you looked at it before you installed it its a straight thought to the drivers side pipe and has to make a 90 deg turn to get to the other pipe and if you dont blow smoke no one really notices it and yes.. it is loud
