will headmen headers pass inspection in nj. i was thinking of going w/ edelbrock headers but i have a very small budget. if i due get the edelbrock should i get the chrome ones or the painted ones. my dad said that chrome with discolor. he put hooker headers on his 70 442 and he put high tenp. paint on them and he said that it just burned off.

 

the hedmans you are probably looking at (68470) are not going to pass. no emissions tubes and no O2 sensor. also, that "chrome" you are talking about is ceramic coating and from what i understand it wont burn off, least if its done right it shouldnt.. lol.

 

are you sure that is crematic coating. it says in the edelbrock catalog that it is nickel/chrome plating. is it the same.

 

hmm.. maybe they do something a little different.
