Suggestions Needed
I have a 91 T/A with 5.0 TPI. Other than simple bolt-ons, I plan to keep the engine internals stock. However, I want to improve upon the air flow.
I am looking for suggestions on the most efficient, and cost effective, exhaust system from the manifold back. Will a 3" exhaust system provide enough back pressure to avoid hp/torque loss? Were you able to install yourself or was the work performed by an exhaust shop?
Please provide vendor names and part numbers if possible. Thanks in advance for the help.

With the stock exhaust manifolds I wouldn't worry about back pressure.
My LB9 G80 car came with dual cats so I kept the 3" factory mid pipe and added the SLP stainless 2OTL cat back. That setup ran well with the stock exhaust manifolds in the day to day battles I had for nearly 80K German A'bahn miles. When I did my ZZ4 swap I added the SLP 1 3/4" headers. It is a sweet sounding (albeit IMO a bit loud at times) good running setup.
