Hooker Super Comp or Comp?

I see there is a HUGE!!!! difference between hookers super comp and comp headers. Is it really worth to pay all that extra for the super comps? or should I go for just the comps? Im also using a hooker cat-back.

Thanks

In the end, there might not be much difference at all.

The shorty "Comps" do not come with a y-pipe, nor does Hooker even make one. So, you'll have to have one fabricated if you want to use those headers. That can more than eat up the $200 difference between the two. But, the collector design is very nice, as is the overall design and fabrication.

The shorty "Super Comps" come with A.I.R., O2 bung, and y-pipe. The only nit I have with them is the collector flange uses a ball seal, and they leave the opening very small (to insure a good seal, they say). I opened mine up centered on the downpipe after doing a fit check of the y-pipe. They're otherwise well-made, and with them on mine runs fine.

The super comps are 1 3/4", and too big for even most 350s. Heddman make an 1 5/8" headder that are full length! They are only for autos, but with some slight mods, they could work for standards. only $99 I think too.

The "Super Comp" shorties are 1-5/8" primaries.
