ok iv got a 350 that im putting in my car. Its been bored .040 over which brings it to what....355 or a 358???? anyways, i need the cheapest good headers i can find with a Y pipe, or im gonna try to use my existing stock manifold and Y pipe (DONT WANT TO DO THAT!!!), that is my last resort, kinda short on money after the engine swap. Well i was thinkin bout going with the 1 5/8" Heddman's. This motor will be putting out 300+ HP and is gonna be a daily driver and taken to the strip on weekends. How bad will the 1 5/8" kill me? i was thinkin id get better torque with it, but take away my upper HP gain, and for the money, it would hopefully be fine for now, then i can upgrade later. what yall think??

 

Not bad at all...especially if you have stock gearing.
By the sounds of the HP you won't be turning over 5500 rpm much.

does the smaller primary give you more torque??...any one have pictures of the heddmans instaled?
