This sound good?

I have a 305 with small mods. I run at a local drag stip in Indiana and am wanting a loud exhaust. The car is street driven and daily driver. I already cut the cat out. I was thinking about Dynomax Ultra flow bullet muffler in the stock location of a cat converter. Then get rid of my muffler and put a Y pipe in to retain the stock location of the exits. I currently have 2½ pipe. Would this be loud and good for ETs? I am on a low budget.

Thanks

-Terry-

Car is a 305 with 700R4 tranny. Best run is a 16.12 With little tire spin.

I would go with a cat-back, just a muffler you prolly won't notice. I'd recommend the Hooker cat-back, I definately noticed the power increase, sound clip is in the signature.

I know but I am saving money and I can get a Dynomax muffler for 20 bucks. Summit is also have a special where there is a $25 on a $36 4" round ultra flow bullet muffler. Hard to pass up the low $$$ for what should sound better than stock.

Thanks for the help though and the hooker sounds great, btw.

You wont be happy with race a race muffler on your car. It will be too loud and sound like crap. Save up for a $200 cat-back.
