I was ordering my hooker headers and I called to make sure they came with the gaskets. The guy said, " yesssss, but they dont come with reducersss" He sounded like a real ***. Anyway what the hell are reducers? and do I need them?

I have an 88 350 with stock exahust pipe

 

Reducers reduce the diameter of the pipe so that you can attach the exhaust pipes, cats, mufflers, whatever. They bolt on to the end of the headers.
