SLP headers
SLP headers
When i drop my 350 in, in like 2weeks i want to throw some headers onwith it. Well since i am going to be tricking out my 350 ppl have told me to go with 1 3/4 SLP headers. The only thing i wonder is how hard it will be to install them since it goes all the way to the cat and will i need a welder or have any problems when is witch from stock heads to AFR heads? thanx

Some people have fitting problems that require them to slighty lift the engine or move the steering column in order to get them in.
The headers are shorties, so its the Y-pipe that connects the headers to the pipe, which is a separate piece.
The only problem with your heads might be the spark plug angles. Mine are straight (stock heads) and although I have yet to switch the plugs I can look at and most likely reach all of them with minimal problems.
The only welding you may need to do is at the cat, but you could probably get away with clamps.

o...so you think i could just not use the Y-pipe untill i get a welder and just bolt the headers on when i swap my engine? o any other headers with out the Y-pipe..or does the Y-pipe really help?
