OK, I keep seeing people vouch for different types of headers and I was just wondering which one is best overall???

-$ value
-HP and Torque
-Ease of installation
-Y-Pipe mating
-Longevity

I see that most people have either the Hooker Comp shorties, Edelbrock, Hedman, or SLP's.....now coating is a must, so you can configure that into your equations. Also, we require emissions here, so yippee for smog!!:lala:

Right now I'm leaning towards the Hookers, but I have noticed a decent number of people saying they have Hedmans, which I don't know much about. The SLP's are out of my league, so no suggestions for them. I would include Dynomax, but I seem to hear a lot about the cheapness, for lack of a better word. I don't know?? Maybe yall can shed some light on this matter.

Oh yeah, don't forget spark plug clearence issues as well.

i have headman headers on mine and i really like them. they give good performance and they are affordable. IMO go with the headmans, expecially if u r on a budget.

I have the Edelbrock, which are ok I guess. My friend just got his set of Hookers, and they look WAY better than the Edelbrocks. I would go with the Hookers if SLP's are out of your league. Very nice quality for the price.

I just put a set of coated pacesetter headers w/ y pipe on my 91 camaro 305 TBI. I'm really happy with them. The only thing was they're a real bitch to put on
