What muffler to get?

Ok... I hear everyone talking about what mufflers they are using and how they like them soo much. I am building my own exhaustand am to the point where I need to decide on a muffler for the end of the project. So far I have the cheapy Dyno-Max black painted headers, a custom Y-Pipe, gutted-cat, aluminized 3" I-Pipe. I need a muffler and the exit pipes. I don't suppose those come with the muffler do they? And what is a good size of tips to use?

Anyway, from what I have heard, I am leaning towards either Hooker or Flowmaster since I have heard sound clips of them. I havenot searched for clips of other mufflers, but I will be doing so shortly. If any of you can give me solid proof as to which will meet my muffler requirements, I will go for that one...here they are:

1) I would like to hear the cackling like you do with open headers, just a noticable amount. Nothing big.
2) I want to be heard. A.K.A maybe I should get out of his way. hehe
3) A little of the popping when the auto is downshifted would be nice too. When I had open headers, that was a sound I loved to hear. Didn't doo it a lot, but the 2-3 times I did, I loved it.

If anyone knows of a muffler that will attain any or all of those, I will strongly consider it.
Mark's Hooker muffler sounded pretty good though.

If you want the crackle and pop upon decceleration, then I wouldn't get the Hooker. But you'll be heard with it.

The custom Y-Pipe is about the same size as the stock pipe, but instead of coming straight down into the pipe, it Y's into it. I am sure it has a lot better flow than the stock one. Where the Y comes together on the new Y-Pipe, it is in the small 2.5" that the shop used , so I am going to cut it off and make it run into 3 where the 2 combine. then through a gutted 3" cat, then through a 3" I-Pipe, into muffler, then outs that are between 2.5 and 3 with somewhere around 3" tips.

I think this setup will help my engine out alot. I cannot see any restrictions besides the darn Y pipe between the 2 3/4" header collectors and the 3" Y pipe colletor. I'll get some pictures eventually, but I don't think this project will take place until I have access to a welder. I am trying to do every modification to my car myself. So far I've only had to get the Y-Pipe made.
