side exhaust?

ok, i have a 91 Rs V6, i want to out side exhaust in my car, i have been doing some drawlings of my car and i think that it would look awesome with side exhaust, my question is, is there any wat that i could just keep the cat's on and then run the side exhaust from them and then out the side, i think that it would look awesome, but i need the cats because of emmissions, thanks

Either clearance, or some sort of heat shield. That would probly look sweet, were you thinking before or behind the rear wheel? If you put it behind, keep in mind that it will get pelted by anythink kicked up by the rear tires.
Also, make sure, if its in front of the rears, that you have enough room to get in and out w/ o burning yourself. While you may not mind, your passengers might not like getting burned/ hot ankles.

You probably didnt see the pic of the TA with the side pipes. Someone found that on ebay and put it in the appearance and detailing board. Not to many people here thought that was a good idea. Alot or people raging on it. Hey I didnt think it looked at that bad but well what can you do. Find a pic of a third gen with side pipes, put it in the appearance and detailing board and see what they say. But hey if it looks go to you do it, fk what other people think:rockon:
