Flowmaster Muffler vs SLP Cat-Back

I have an 89 L98 TA with a generic Walker replacement system. I have a completely stock engine with factory dual cats. The Walker system is just dont doing my 350 Justice, at Idle it is ok, but when you open it up it just is not doing it for me. It really sounds like it is a bottle neck in the muffler.

With a stock application, would I be better off getting a Flowmaster muffler & pocketing the $300 for gas money, or would the performance gains from the mandrel bent SLP cat back warrent spending an additional $300. I have no plans on modding the engine past what it is. I dont really want a Flowmaster, but with a savings of $300, I really cant rule it out.

BTW: I did not put the Walker system on, the Pontiac dealer I purchased the car from did as part if the purchase agreement 3 years ago.

Why not get Flowmaster's complete exhaust system?? SLP has the 2 on the left outlets and isn't that great sounding, its OK.

Hey why not just go with the Hooker cat back it is fairly cheap and i have yet to read a bad post on it. I plan on getting a Hooker cat back for my 350 in about 2 weeks. Right now I have the Flowmaster 80 series muffler and its not really that loud its not at all what I thought it was going to be. If I were you get the hooker and still save the cash.

get the SLP it is worth it. it wont sound or look like everybody eles car. i love the way it sounds, kinda burbly at idle and screams at WOT. i had a flowmaster cat back on my car and ran a 15.2, switch to the SLP and ran a 14.9.
