Sanding 409 SS SLP Header Q's .....
I took my passenger side Tri-Y header to an exhaust shop so they could grind down the remains of the little metal piece that held the dip stick (the previous owner cut it but did not grind it down) but it's a little rough where he did it to say the least.
I want to know what grit sand paper I should use to smooth it down, I don't have a Dremel so I can't do it that way, it's gonna have to be by hand. They are 409 SS. It doesn't need to look good, just be a little smoother. Also, is it a certain type of sand paper I should use that won't get clogged up with shavings right away?
Thanks!
