I have a '83 T/A w/ 305 that I purchased last August. It needs a new doughnut-style gasket between the manifold/exhast pipe & it has a small leak underneath the passenger's seat. Could someone please give me an estimate as to how much this might cost to have repaired? I don't want to upgrade to better exhaust because of $$ and the fact I just "cruise" & not race it. THANKS A LOT!!

I'm no exhaust expert here, but I would imagine less than $10 for the gasket and maybe $50 to fix the leak by welding in a new piece of pipe. Go around to a couple different shops and see what they charge. My guess would be that it'll be around there.
