Does anyone have SLP catback exhaust system
Hey
I have a 1985 IROC Z Camaro with a 305 TPI LB9 engine. I am looking around at mods for my car to make it faster and better. I hear that SLP makes the best stuff around for our cars, If anyone out there has a SLP catback exhaust tell me about it, How much HP gain did u feel, Does the SLP system sound better then the stock system... Thanks

i have the SLP 2 on the left side cat back and its sweet. at idle, it has a nice burbly note and once you get on it it really screams. it has a very smooth sound. i had a flowmaster cat back before and ran a best of 15.2, swtched to the SLP and ran a 14.9. best part about it is you wont look or sound like everybody else on the road.
Hey IROC_Cragg,
I also have the SLP system - I love it. I switched from a Flowmaster to the SLP. The SLP sounds great, and it's not "too loud", or metallic-sounding. I realize that everyone has their own definition of "too loud", and also what "sounds good", but I really like the way the SLP sounds. I also agree with 87 B4Z, the SLP looks and sounds different from most other systems on the road. The two tips exiting on the driver's side look so cool (to me). The system seemed to be very high quality, and I have had it for about 4 years with zero problems. I used it on my 355 first, now on my new 383 (and it still seems to work/sound great). Just my opinions on the SLP, hope this helps.
Later, Mike.........

I love my Flowmaster cat back but I have to admit the SLP 2OTL sounds freakin awesome. My friend has it on his 88 GTA and it's a much lower rumble than anything else I've heard. I'd have it on my car but the 2OTL looks really stupid. I like my dual 3in stainless tips.

I have had the 2OTL SLP on my Formula since 1995. I love it. I hate the tail pipes, though.
I also had the same system on a 1996 Z28 I had. IMHO, it sounds BETTER than the more expensive Borla.

My one friend just put a MAC cat back on his IROC and I heard it today. It sounds like the SLP, real deep, but it has dual 3.5in tips. I think I'm going to ditch my Flowmasters for the MAC this summer.
