What Kind Of Exhaust should I get for my LB9
Hey
I have a 1985 IROC Z Camaro with the 305 TPI LB9 engine, what kinda of exhaust should I get that will help my engine perform to its best. Ive seen that the most populat are hooker, flowmaster, and SLP. Im not going to go with the flowmaster because everyone has it and I dont think they sound that good, Im looking for a louder, and deeper sound then the stock exhaust, What should I get. Any suggestion, and tell me how much ur 1/4 mile times did with the exhaust mods.
Thanks alot

If you were gonna get just a muffler I would have said Flowmaster anyway, but if you are going full exhaust I'd say the Aerochamber.
Can i interest u in a 3" Borla cat -back?? u didn't have that one listed, alot of people say its to expensive though.. but i think its the best sounding one u could by if ur goin catback.. want ur LB9 to sound like a built 383?? look into this seriously, i wish i had some sound clips of mine.. u can see my sig what i have done to the car, nothing special but every LS1 i've tried turned me down cuz they were intimidated by my exhaust, beleive it or not.. but i absolutely love it and it was definately worth every penny i spent, woulnd't trade it for the world.. my buddies got a Flowmaster cat back and he wants to sell it for what i have cuz it sounds so bad ***!! and the best part it, NOBODY ELSE HAS IT, here in NY there is one guy that has borla besides me, and its a 2000 Saleen, even he was intimidated by my car, even more when i beat him lol !!!! he needs some driving lessons, imagine a driver so bad at shifting his 40k dollar car that my lil' 305 beat him, and all i spent was 7000 bucks for the car!! haha.. gotta love it!!.. later, mike

really?? i'm surprised, i wish i could do a sound clip.. i'll bet 50 bucks that if u heard my car u'd go out and buy a Borla cat-back, even though it is rediculously expensive and i'm sure it doesn't have the best flow numbers but the sound is what i went for, ever since borla came out i've wanted there exhaust system.. but theres other realy good ones out there too, hooker, slp etc.. etc.. well good luck man.. mike
I heard Borla's were a pain in the *** to install and nothing fits right. Plus, all the Honda's at my college have Borla mufflers and coffee can exhaust tips so I would want to have the part that ricers love. I'm sure you haven't heard a healthy 350 with headers and a MAC cat-back. Sounds waaaaaaaaaaay better than Borla.
haha i hear ya, i know where ur comming from, but trust me i've been around cars my whole life, my buddies all have very heathy running 350's, 355's, 383's, 400's in there camaro's and firebirds all 12 and 13 second street cars, they all have Flowmaster cat-backs, and one has a MAC like ur saying (isnt' mac a 2.5 inch though?), and they all want to buy Borla since i got mine but there all to poor cuz they put rediculous amounts of money into there motors haha, i'm taking the slow route and doing it how i want it then next mod is my 383.. i'm not saying that ur stuff doesn't sound good at all, i've heard just about every exhaust out there and they all sound very good, to be honest the best sounding is just open header like on my dads race car haha but thats a different story.. later guyz. mike

I like the SLP. I had one on my 96 WS6 and it sounded great. Has a nice mellow rumble to it. I now have one on the V6 and it still sounds pretty good
