Good Place/Good Prices for Purchase of Cats...
Hi.. I have a 91 Formula and it needs cats
(both are M.I.A.). I know I know...put straight pipes on. I dont wanna do that. Call me crazy but I want to be able to pass emissions. Is there any place over the internet where I can get cats at a good price??? I was thinking that since Im gonna put cats on it what about putting stainless steel exhaust system on it??? Couple questions...1. I heard stainless steel is all fine and well but the mufflers rot from the inside out. 2. what is all this gonna cost me?? any respectable guesses are welcomed. 3. does anybody have any exhaust files for me to hear? I just bought 2 tires for my Formula...that hurt my wallet a little. I figure what the hell...LETS GO FOR BROKE!!!!

As far as cats, www.summitracing.com sells hi-flo Catco cats, among the best at a cheap price too. Though I hear Carsound makes some good ones too cheap I think, there's post about them recently.

Thanks for replying to my post....to give you guys an update I ended up going with a direct fit dual catco cat setup (bolted up to the stock manifolds)...and to finish off the exhaust.. I bolted up a borla cat back setup. I think the total cost was somewhere around $850. My only disspointment was that the borla/catco setup was somewhat "short." I had the pipes hanging from my car and I had to check and recheck to make sure that every pipe fit into the next to ensure a "snug" fit. I am very happy with the way the exhaust sounds.. It doesnt sound like flowmaster aka drownmaster aka blowmaster. It has a nice rumble at idle and sounded nice and deep when you give it gas. This exhaust step is just right for me...basically what Im trying to say is that it isnt obnoxiously LOUD.
Later..
