This is part number FLO-16078 from Summit Racing for $46.95 plus shipping.

This is for dual converter cars for after the converters into the intermediate pipe. At least a 10hp/10tq gain over stock pipe.

Are you going to use this on your existing slp cat back system?
What size are the pipes that flow into the y (pipes coming from convertors)?

I think they are 2 1/2 from converterts into the 3" collector. The SLP mid pipe has a step up welded in place to connect to the stock 2 1/2 after cat pipe. This must be removed and it looks like the Flowmaster piece is long enough to chop that step up off and weld in the flange.

Know what??? You just gave me an idea.

I wonder if that could be used (easily used) to help fabricate a "Y"pipe for some of the headers that come with cheesy size "Y"pipes???

I'll bet it could.

That is a nice looking piece.

Got anymore pics of the y-pipe? Also, how did you get it to fit the 4 inch system? I'm going to be re-doing part of my exhaust and this is one that is being replaced this summer. Any infomration would be helpful before I buy this piece. Thanks

Eric

Yey guys,

i just checked at summit racing and they changed the part number and the price too. The new part number is
FLO-Y16078 and the price is up to 72 from the origonal 47. The guy on the phone says it is because it is the pricing for the new month but tha is ______!

Sorry about that, a little angry i didnt buy it while it was still cheap. Does anyone know of any way i can get is for a better price or the origional price. if any one has a shop or just happens to have one i would like to buy it through you if it does end up cheaper that the 72 summit is now asking. There is also a 8 dollar handling fee which brings the price up to 80.

Thanks ( your near broke friend),

Raptere

PS: sorry, but i am only 16, just got the car in october, and i don't think is would be right for me to be buying anyone any kind of alchahol

But thanks a lot for the info.

They raised the price by $25??? That sucks!

Try ordering it through www.jegs.com

See if they will order it for you and tell them that Summit has it on their website for $47.00.

Flowmaster sells what they call a Y-Collector. It's basically what's shown in the picture with two straight pipes instead of two bent ones. They make them in many sizes. Mufflex uses them in their Y-pipe kit. Check this list from Flowmaster: http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/cg...cgisortorder=0

for custom exhaust work, I would recommend FLP in Naperville over Speed Inc. for any custom exhaust fabrication.

The guy who does the exhaust at FLP is very good.

They probably got pissed when I ordered mine because they didn't sell the rest of the crappy American Thunder kit that goes with it.

Sad, because it is a really nice piece.

darnit i wanted to get one

i have a slp catback for slip fit cats, and slp header for dual cats.

i wasnt going to use cats just straight pipes and i wanted to buy most of everything so i could just get the exhaust welded / bolted together, i guess i have to use the stock y-pipe after the cats.
