A local muffler shop wants to charge me 500-600 dollars to fabricate the left side header-to-cat pipe and over-the-axle tailpipe on my Formula. Its the "dual cat" exhaust, so it has those "confusing as hell" pipes instead of a y-pipe. My headers were made by Accell and he said the pipes came with it. I also have a Banks 3" cat-back that is no longer made. He says because he cant get this stuff, he has to make it all. Now the header-to-cat pipe looks pretty difficult to make so I understand it will be a little more expensive. But is he asking too much?

 

Wow, that's a crap load of money. I had some minor fabrication to put my cat-back on, but it just involved a little cutting and adding in some straight pipe. I'd call around or check other places first.
