yes I know how much a winshield install is with fresh glass, thats not the point, think about what it would cost if I went in with glass in hand. If someone is junking a car and doesnt need the glass I'll take it off their hands for like 50 bucks and go get it installed for another 50, gotta think value here man I lost my job... but i still need glass

howdy there well im not trying ot be smart or anything but...
these type of windshields you dont just pull from one and stick in another..
it just doesnt work that way
they are set in place with HD urethane adhesive
you will end up having to have one installed new for 150 to 200 or so.
the best deal i found was 220 installed from springfield il
and that was a deal for around here and i jumped on it quickly. after calling all the other places only to find they wanted 300 or more.
the best thing is to simply not break your windshield and then you wont have to worry about this problem. in my case it did break mine and it was preventable, but it happened and so i had to pay for it.,
back in the day when windshield were not glued in you could pull them yourself and stick them in
if windshields like these could be pulled safely and survive and be sold for 50 a pop then there would be a big business going on
but there isnt.
sure no one wants to pay upwards of 200 or more for a glass to be installed, but well you reallyhave no other choice unless you can buy glass for bulk cost and have the tools and skills and knowledge to set glass and without leaks etc., plus the new weatherstripping surround piece also,
its the truth but ppl cant accept it.
i finally bit the bullet and went for it
if oyu dont have the dough to have it done right now then youll have to wait and save for it,
just helping you to realize the reality of this
some ppl cant be told or explained to though,
and some will beg to differ of course, and claim that they've successfully pulled and swapped a used windshield from this type of vehicle,
and i dont deny that someone out there has done it,
but it will be a very rare intance and pure luck if it was done(without troubles)
just my $.02 though
good luck
