Need Grille that accepts plate.

Moved from MI to MO.

Front plates are required here. LAME.

I have a grille in good shape I'm willing to trade for one that accepts a plate. Or I will pay cash.

Thanks

Re: Need Grille that accepts plate.

Just curious, I thought all the grills were set up for plates. When I got my car there was none there, but after JY "research" I saw the Z28 front plate bracket on a car with three torx screws. Took them out and found the same holes im my grille! Ta da! Still haven't put it on, but carry it along in case...

Re: Need Grille that accepts plate.

You gotta have a front plate in almost every state including MI, it all depends on weather or not its enforced.

Just like the side way mounted plate on motorcycle is 100% illegal, but very few places enforce it and proper display of plate laws.

Yeah, I've got the normal 92 grill with no apparent flat spots for a plate, but near the middle up between the "louvers" are three small holes for screws. You need the Z28 plate that sticks up in there

Re: Need Grille that accepts plate.

Okay, sorry to have wasted your time, RCAR, but I'm just going to drill holes through my current grille and save some money.

As far as I could tell, no, it wasn't set up for plates. Whenever I've bought plates in MI, they've only ever given me one. In MO, they gave me two.

Re: Need Grille that accepts plate.

You might not want to drill holes until you're sure they're not already there. If you send me your email address I can send you some pics showing where mine are. I seem to find it much easier than posting pictures on here. I'm pretty low-tech apparently

Naw, I already did it. I've got an extra front fender in MI and the one I've got isnt in show car shape anyways. Thanks, though.
