Yep, the studs are brittle and tend to break off. Most all of the plastics are like that. There's info on here where you can drill/epoxy and add threaded studs to them though (among other methods of attaching them).

DragonoftheWest, I still have mine but they do have studs missing and (iirc) would need a little work and painting. I also would need money in hand before shipping out -most likely a postal money order.
I'm actually on the fence anyways since I may need it for a project. If you want, I can get you pics and let you offer a price and shipping method (overnight/insurance etc.) if you'd like. I imagine you're going to have delays with shipping anyways due to Christmas though.
