Anyone made a new gauge panel?
I've been looking at the Autometer Phantom gauges, and would like to buy the 5" Tach, 5" inch speedo, oilpressure, fuel level, water temp, and volt gauges and mount them in a custom bezel in place of the factory gauge cluster in my 89 formula. Has anyone done this, have any pics or ideas???
I was thinking something made out of aluminum....

Would probably look pretty slick.. been considering something similar for my V6 since Dakota Digital doesn't make decent red gauges, and I could use more space than the stock cluster offers... I have yet to see any decent looking attempts at this, unfortunately.

i've done it and pics have been posted a long time ago. basically trace out your old bezel(plastic) onto a piece of sheet aluminum. bust out the sawzall, tin snips, whatever and cut to shape. use some hole saws for the guages and you're set. a little grey primer and semi-gloss black by rustoleum and it looks great.
