Air intake from front bumper
Has anyone attempted to get their air intake from the fog lights of a GTA? I was thinking of comming out of the engine, to the pass side fender, down the inside of the fender and out the fog light. I would remove the fog lights in lieu of some stainless mesh.

I did that a while back but used crappy parts. I am thinking of doing it again once I get the car back together.
the hard part was making a box to mate the 4 inch tube to the square fog light hole. that is if you dont want a bellmouth sticking out of your foglight hole.

Isn't it also possible to leave the light in place, and just place the ducting behind the light? At speed, you'd still be pushing plenty of air into the ducting

I was looking at that area and i think i'm gonna ditch the fog light idea and go with a collector under the light as in a tech article.
air intake
I have a 1988 formula 350 I made one for.I modified the air filter canister by cutting out large sections of it . I found this from tpi specialties insider hints book. The filter housing has a large round opening to the side that I attached heavy duty 4 inch dryer type hose onto. I snaked the hose thru the fender via the access hole and down to the bottom of the car.Next remove the passenger side bottom panel. Mock up where the hose will exit and cut a 4 inch hole in the panel. I then mounted a home dryer vent-(you know the kind that attaches to your house) with the flap inside removed. mount it to the bottom of the panel with 4 attaching screws. Paint it black and your done. It sounds kind of cheesy but it will give a noticeable gain with a good high flow filter. Best of all it is very inexpensive to make. I have done this mod on 2 formula 350's and a five o mustang.Believe me I am one fussy person and would not have put it on if it looked like crap. Good luck let me know if you tried it.

I've thought about that kind of thing, but I HATE the look of dryer ducting. Always thought it looked cheap and shoddy...
