engine to rear end drive line alignment

ive put a sbc 400 (406) in my 82 fire bird sense i added a t-5 tranny ( which was mounted 15 degrees cw in the doner car ) i had to make the cross member and related parts fit the new application how can i be sure i have every thing stright ? pls keep in mind i have to do all the work and can not afford any speical tools.. thxs for the help ... tao

simple thing to do would be find something common to both sides of the car and measure from it to, say the trans CL. measure from whatever to the center of the axle, then from side to the center of the rear end. pick a referance point and pull a tape.
