Difference between in-floor sfc's and others

I'm looking at putting some sfc's in, and I'm either going to with with Spohn's weld in sfc's, or gut my interior, cut my floor pan, and weld mine in a straight line from front to back. I don't mind the extra work. I'd be using 1.5" square 1/8" wall cold rolled steel for the weld in stuff. I would like to do it that way because I don't have to deal with ground clearence issues (down the road if i want to lower my t/a) but I'm just curious as to which would be best. Maybe do the weld in method and then have cross braces out to the rocker panels? Or would to two straight bars to the sub frames stiffen it up just fine?

Thanks,
super_kev

Why would you have to cut the floor pan?

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough. I'm trying to decide between the weld in, undercar type sfc's, vs. these.

ground clearance isnt an issue at all with most subframe connectors, as they tuck up above the body mouldings and are very close to even with the pinch seam

unless your building a 7 second car, i wouldnt bother with those unless your just tryingt to be different

Ok good, that's the main reason I wanted to do it the other way. I'll probably get some Spohn's then.
