t-top replacement part...i know its a 79, but still...

i know the car is a 79, so i believe is considered a 2nd gen, but were all f-body guys, right?

on my t-tops there are stress cracks where the notch is that holds the top to the car on the inside portion (toward the center) and on the driver side, the notches are broken out. is there a replacement metal trim for the t-tops? gm said the tops themselves are discontinued by the factory but i know there must be some shops out there who recreate a lot of the restoration parts needed for a complete job.

luckily, the tops still dont leak but the thumping is annoying when i drive down the streets in the residential area around my house. anyone?

thanx

Try a junkyard first, then maybe Ebay. I dunno if late 2ndgen stuff is reproduced much yet (and t-tops are a late 2ndgen thing)

Look to http://www.amesperformance.com and http://www.paddockparts.com and http://www.classicindustries.com , get their catalogs, someone must make it... but if any of those three make it, be prepared to pay a ton of coin!
