custom open element

Okay, so i have a completely stock engine, i bought a K & N filter as a replacement for the stock filter, but i want it to be an open element. how do i fab up a custom open element using my original air filter top (5.0 HO decal on it) ??? Is this possible? thanks for all the help

Just get a new decal from Year One or Classic Industries and put it on the open element lid. Hell, thats a pretty good idea, I may just do that myself!

Just cut big *** 'windows' in the side of your stock cleaner (or just trim the entire side off). Why do you want the engine sucking in hot air though?
