I have some .110'' thick 5xxx or 6061 Aluminium alloy would that be thick enough to make a safe shatter sheild for a stock bell housing?
It would be for a TH700 and T-5 camaro transmissions.

Yea I guessed that Al would be a little weak.
I have .100'', .110'' and .120'' thick 4-Al, 6-V heat treated Titanium alloy.
Would that be strong enough?

There’s 2 ways of looking at this… putting anything in there is better then nothing, OTOH, unless it’s SFI certified it isn’t going to be legal as per any sanctioning body no matter what you do (well, unless you pay to put it through their certification process).

Second, if you use anything heat treated you’ll have to anneal it to bend it or weld multiple pieces, and if you expect it to be as strong as pre “fabrication” then you need to get it re heat treated after it’s completed.
