performance

Hi!
What are the basics to do with an F-body carburated engine to get some extra hp and torque? Without highly modify the engine.

thanks

nice set of headers is a good place to start then hi per intake 750 carb (holley) (edelbrock) small think is a big air filter (K&N)that should be a good start. then you can adventure into getting (MSD) cap, rotter, wires or (acell)shift kit stall converter, traction bars with sub frame conecters I could probl keep going but that should keep you buzy for a wile.

that sounds pretty good fpor a start but i would say use a 650 instead of a 750 carb. you also didnt say if it was a 305 or 350, but i would still end up going with a 650 on a 350 that is stock. i tried both and found that the 650 was better off.

well, there is a lot more info that we need inorder to tell you what you need. but this is the totally wrong board for this. go to the carb board and the exhaust board, they can tell you what you need to know there.

mw66nova: I posted here coz I need info about exhaust, carb, etc...

I've got a 305 cid engine, bone stock.
Can you tell me part numbers for the MSD cap and rotor?

You mentioned K&N. Is there available a cold air intake for this engine, or I just use open air cleaner?

What about the Edelbrock carbs? Is the Holley better?
I was told Edelbrock is more simplier.

What do you think how much hp increase is the headers and the others?
