SBC Intake Size?

What is the most common size for a small block chevy intake port? Is there any web reference that may have this information? Thanks, BranZ

You can look up the gasket sizes. Mr. Gasket and Felpro have tons.

here is a great referrence

1204 and 1256 is like stock performance they are the same size

1205 is what most of your regular performance heads like AFR, edelbrock, and trick flow etc use.

usually but not always if it is 200cc intake runner or less they have it "sized for" a 1205.

when I say "sized for" I mean thats the closest gasket not that they will atually properly match that one.

next in line are the 1206/1207 gasket. the hardest part here is getting a intake that will fit them, especially in an EFI. most intakes are 1205 in size and do not have enough material to port to the 1206 /1207 size.

1206/1207 are "usually but not always" for heads with 200cc and above in size.

The 1207 is a couple hundredths bigger than the 1206 there are almost interchangable.

to find the gasket for your ride, find the sizes of your intakes ports in inches and fractions and then the head ports too, they will likely be different, then get the next gasket up in size. Then port match both to that gasket size checking ahead of time to make sure there will be enough material.
