Fabing billet strut mounts

Hi guys. I'm planning on making my own billet strut mounts in the near future and I'm looking to get my last couple of questions answered. I looked at a couple of the differant designes out there. The ones that spohn is selling now, the old hunters and grie?.
What is the best way to install the bearing? It look's like from the top, press fit with a spring clip is the way to go. Should the bearing be a press fit or just very tight. If making a press fit how much smaller than the bearing should the hole be? A couple of thousandths?

I'd love to just buy them but I've got access to a machine shop at work with a great machinist and welder and a ton of 6061 laying around. Oh yeah, and thanks to what I've spent on the car already I'm broke. So my only cost is buying the bearings. Thanks for any help.

I don't think we have any that think at work. I can't really take stuff like that anyway. I can get away with the ocasional project for myself but that's about it.

For the press fit, i would recomend contacting the Bearing Manufacture, they usally have a correct undersize depending on Temp. A spring Clip as a retainer will work.
