Firewall Pictures

Hey,

I am installing a T56 transmission in a '91 Camaro Z28 and I need pictures of the hole I need to drill in the firewall to mount the pedals and the slave/master rod to the pedals. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

You only need to drill the holes for the slave....the new pedals mount up just like the old pedals.

Awesome pictures, thank you this helps alot. I just have a further question. I am aware of the pedals bolting in. Just wondering if the hole drilled (large one) is slightly smaller than slave base so it covers it. Also what did you remove from the firewall so when you drilled in it did not cut anything. Please tell me if the tapemeasure is from the bottom center of the steering colum in the up position. I have a Auto so I will be drilling holes for the pedals correct?

The hole is as big as you want it to be.

When I drilled I didn't remove anything, just pulled the carpet back, drew my circle and drilled. Just had another person on the other side watching so I could let up when it starting poping through.

That picture looks like a straight on shot like you would see it if you were laying on your stomach in the footwell. The hole is quite a bit lower than the hinges and stuff and is on an extreme upward angle.
