Making T-top headliner backing

I tried a search and can't find if anyone made a t-top headliner backing. I'm not talking about applying headliner material...I'm interested in how you make the board itself/backing.

I don't want to pay approx $140 for the ABS t-top headliner and then have to pull off the headliner material, fill-in the holes that house the seatbelt chest strap because I'm using a 5-point harness, and then have to install new headliner material.

Thanks,

unfortunately, the fiberglass won't really work because it doesn't let you flex it at all...so you can't get it in the car.

Really? Wonder how I got my fiberglass one in then

I used my old headliner as a substrate and added fiberglass mat to stiffen/rebuild it. Worked great.

i used a junkyard one that was broken in three pieces (not all the way broken, like "cracked" i guess. and fiberglassed the bagessus out of it. covered and put it w/o bending or flexing via rear hatch area. looks like ***. i did not do the best job. it looks WAAAY better then not having one. thats vore sure.

ADVICE: if you repair one make sure that you wrap a cloth around the center section (will be in a [ shape) and do not let it flex outward. if my ts ar off you can see between the linner and the roof. when they are on it looks stock.

I had a cracked one that I covered in fiberglass, it was my first time working with glass and it didnt come out that bad, maybe $20 in materials well worth it IMO. Good luck, havent heard of anything to use except fiberglass.
