Smog pump?
I dont know much about smog pumps. The only thing I really do know is that I do not like them. What I am wondering is if they suck or blow air thru the tube that goes to the cats. What I want to do is make it an "evac." pump if it sucks. If I am going to run much boost at all I think I will need one and they are pretty expensive. If anyone knows or knows someone who has done something similar please let me know or leave me the link. Thanks

They blow through the A.I.R. tubes. Some have modified them to serve as evac pumps though.

They don't make very good evac pumps. This isn't their intended purpose. They typically only have two or three vanes, where even a base model evac pump has four. They can't generate a significant pressure differential to keep the rings seated, especially in a turbo motor. I'd go with a MOROSO pump meant for this purpose.
