custom distibutor

Im doing the FWd head swap on my V6 Camaro but I dont wanna swap over to DIS. I like my distributor setup plus I have an MSD 6AL box thats barely used connected to it. Problem is the dizzy is too short and hits the back runner on the FWD LIM.. It needs to be raised about 2-3 inches. Is there anyway that I could extend the shaft or anything like that to make a custom dizzy to work? Thanks

I'd go with DIS. I don't think there is an off-the-shelf solution (different GM distributor PN).

I've never heard of anyone doing it, but I suppose you could get two distributors, cut the shafts and weld them back together, and then have them turned on a lathe.
