Oil pan removal fixture
I have to change out my oil pan, and don't have access to a hoist or anyone with a truck. Then tonight it hit me...I work in a metal shop. I could build a jig that bolts between the upper and lower motor mounts after I jack up the engine from underneath (after removing the obvious crap e.g: neg bat. term., header bolts, etc) How far up would the engine have to be to slip the pan off around the crank? Once I have this bit of info, I'll post up a design for them.

I'd thought about that, but decided i'd rather not trust my fingers to a couple hunks of wood. I've had enough close calls as it is with this car.

I know what you mean about close calls...isn't the saying you only hurt teh ones you love? My car must love the h*ll out of me!!!
Anyway, if you can get ~3.5" up you will be fine, as long as it is a tock style pan. BTW that is what my car needed with my solid motor mount setup.
