Messed up my gauges

Messed up my gauges

Hey guys, I put aftermarket gauges in my TA and the oil pressure gauge is messed up when I put it in, the stick thing that points to the current oil pressure is was up and past the highest mark for oil pressure, not cuz anythings wrong just because its incorrect, how do I fix this?

What kind of gauge? Is the car fully warmed up? How high does it read?

Sounds like a bad connection. If your gauge isn't connected to the sender properly it will do that exact thing. Make sure all your wiring is tight and the oil pressure sending unit is making a clean connection to the chassis ground (too much teflon tape if you used it?).
