Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: Richmond 3.73 and Aurburn diff
trying to fix the rattle in my doors

Everyone knows how bad 3rd gen doors can rattle. And i know they are a pain in the *** to fix I was thinking about taking my door completely off and opening it up cause i know you can buy the outer shells but i dont know if its possible to take that apart?...or does anyone have any better ideas

The door itself doesnt rattle, its the stuff attached to it

Theres a good sticky thready for killing door rattles

Axle/Gears: lim slip not sure gears

my 86 rattles would love to fix that prob and make the doors sound better when they shut mine sound bad any ideas

Check the door handle spring if it rattles, check the lock/door handle rods. Use some rattle pad from second skin on metal - metal.

the door rattle going down the road not real bad have found the weather strip makes most of the noise looking at the handle and sping like u sugested what can be done to make it sound better when u shut the door it sounds like everything inside it is coming loose . is this comon prob ?

Does it only do this with the window down? If it does it with the window down, pull the panel off and make sure nothing is loose. Then like I said, use rattle pad on areas where there is or possibly could be metal-metal contact.
