Don't know if anyone is interested but I felt like sharing some pics. The rest of the engine still looks like crap but you gotta take it one step at a time.

My motor is for my off-road only Jeep so I have no need for AC and my smog pump was completely siezed from sitting for a while.

I left the long rib running down just for added support since the bracket is just aluminum. I also cut a sleeve where the used to be so the bolt could be fully tightened without the threat of cracks.
