gauging intrest in twin turbo headers for ls1-lsx and sbc gen1

ok im looking to see if there is any intrest in twin turbo headers. they will be made out of mild steel you have your choice on 1-5/8 or 1-3/4 primary tubes 16 gauge or 18 gauge. The tubing will be mandral bent running in to a 4 to 1 collector (3in) with your choice of turbo flange. The headers will look like the ss auto chrome headers but the quality will surpass any thing that has come out of there door.

right now im working on the ls1-lsx motor for tight location set ups. I have about 600 bux in to the headers alone. the price will drop as soon as I start to get the flanges for the turbos and manifolds laser cut.

depending on the buyers choices the prices are going to start around 500.00 dollars and top out around 550.00 or 575.00

let me know what you guys think?

I think you need to use thicker wall mild steel (.125" min.) or supply the end user with support brackets. Thicker wall is more preferable (heat & strength). You will find it is much harder to build with the stronger material. Especially if you use pipe with 1.6" ID (same as 1-3/4" 16 gauge pipe). That drives the cost up and that is why people don't sell turbo headers. I hope it works out for you.

ill have to price the tubeing. I cant see it costing to much more if you can find some one to bend it, if not it wouldent be to hard for me to pick up an bender and make a few J bends.

Go for Stainless. If you want to sell something its my opinion to make a truly GREAT product and charge accordingly. EG. Hawks LS1 headers sell fast but they are very nice pieces and they aint none too cheap.

Good luck bro!!
