Antenna relocating
When I bought my car the power antenna was already bent. At first I thought of replacing it, but I would like to shave it eventually. I want to get rid of it now, but don't want to weld on my fender since i do not want to paint my car. But I was wondering if I reocate it in the fender or get a short stubby antenna if I would still get good reception and still look good.
If I do put the antenna in the fender is there something like a rubber plug I could put in the hole for a while?

Re: Antenna relocating
Me and buddy both layed our stock antennas under the dash pad, still with decent reception.
You won't need to spot paint the fender, not a whole section, if your paint is still good. Or just go by a sign shop, and ask for a small piece of sign vinyl, the stuff used for lettering, to put over the hole. 5 feet away, you won't even notice it, if they have a decent matching color.
I don't even notice mine, unless I look HARD, and I know it's there. I keep forgetting.
