I am returning to the F-Body community after a 6 yr hiatus with ford. I am getting ready to do a ls1 swap into a 3rd gen and am looking for a shell. My question is I found a 84 original 4cyl car cheap. Only bad thing is its a hard top. Since I'm going to swap 4th gen interior,motor,rear end and brakes. Is there any issues I need to worry about since it was a 4cyl car? The guy that has it now put a 305 and th350 in it. Any help would be greatly appreaciated...

with all the parts you are going to swap it shouldn't matter which camaro you buy. good luck with the swap i just bought a ls1 for a swap also.

 

Nice. I'm going to do body work first. Iroc clone black with black Iroc wheels and a targa top(maybe). I'm just going to buy a complete wrecked 4th gen for my conversion. I hear that is the best way to do it. I thought about black zr1 wheels but I like the look of the iroc wheels better. If anyone out there that has done the swap has any advice for me it would be great.
